1. Antica Dimora Residenza and the Piccolo restaurant

Torrita di Siena is a 600 year old stone village that looks like something conjured up by a travelling poet. The Antica Dimora is a family-owned boutique hotel that welcomes its guests into the historic, but lushly appointed rooms, many of which overlook the picturesque Tuscan countryside. The Piccolo is Torrita di Siena’s best restaurant, offering traditional Italian pizza and its signature range of seafood dishes. The owners, Mario and Gioia, have been in the restaurant trade for a couple of decades, and are always happy to share their Tuscany’s travel tips, and to recommend the right Tuscan wine to match any palate or dish.

2. Villa Sassolini hotel and restaurant

At the base of the Chianti hills, in the heart of Tuscany, are the suites of Villa Sassolini. Geographically, this is a perfect staging point for day tours to visit the nearby Siena and Florence. Most suites have a view of the Tuscan countryside, and the aged architecture houses up-to-date technology. The Villa Sassolini restaurant is perfect for long lazy dinners ordered from the a la carte menu designed to offer a mix of traditional local dishes with a truly modern Italian twist.

3. Hotel Villa il Tesoro and the Bracali Ristorante

In the midst of the Maremma hills is the medieval city of Massa Marittima, home of the converted farmhouse boutique hotel Villa il Tesoro. Set in the grounds of a four-star vineyard, the Villa il Tesoro is an intimate affair of just twenty richly appointed suites. While the Villa has its own notable restaurant, an even better choice is the Bracali. Family-owned, the Bracali serves up traditional dishes with a modern edge in it’s décor that emphasises roman columns and the occasional piece of leopard print to offset its mother-of-pear walls and Swarovski-crystal encrusted lamps.

4. Il Pellicano Hotel and Restaurant

Porto Ercole sits on the Italian Mediterranean coast, and it is here that lucky guests can while away their evenings at the Il Pellicano. This boutique hotel (six cottages and one main guesthouse) is true Italian decadence, unabashedly devoted to romance. Romantic couples are Il Pellicano’s bread and butter, and it is easy to see why this hotel is popular with honeymooners. There are two restaurants at Il Pellicano: The all-aperto grill that serves more casual fare – fresh seafood is always popular in the warmer months. The jewel in Il Pellicano’s culinary crown is the Restaurant Il Pellicano that has not one but two Michelin stars. Here diners are served world-class modern Italian fare on a sweeping terrace overlooking a starlit Mediterranean sea.

5. Siena:

Some would say that this is the most intriguing and magical city in Tuscany, and it is the site of the famous annual horse race “Palio di Siena” that makes the cobblestones tremble to the thundering rhythm of hoof-beats. In this ochre-coloured piece of a fairytale is the luxurious Hotel Certosa di Maggiano and its restaurant, Il Canto. Once a Carthusian monastery built in the 14th century, the design was turned over to architect Renzo Mongiardino who created the breathtaking ambience that has been the hotel since 1978. Il Canto (The Chant) is a standalone achievement: Award-winning food in the relaxed environment of a building that was devoted to silent prayer for centuries.

Trastevere is one of the best-known areas in Rome and a place to explore little by little, discovering its stunning squares, narrow alleys, medieval churches and renaissance buildings.

Going back to Viale Trastevere after walking through a maze of narrow alleys in the most medieval part of Trastevere Rome lovers will find the beautiful 9th century Church of Santa Cecilia, built on top of ancient Rome Baths, with its luscious gardens, 13th century frescoes and outstanding early Christian catacombs, and the nearby Church of San Francesco a Ripa housing the sculpture of Blessed Ludovica Albertoni crafted by an elderly Bernini in 1674.

Seafood lovers discovered Alberto Ciarla’s restaurant long time ago. Using only top quality ingredients Mr. Ciarla delivers tasty and balanced seafood dishes. Guests can order a la carte or choose from 3 different set menus fairly priced between €48 and €68. Good selection of French wines and nice outdoor tables in the very pleasant Piazza San Cosimato in Trastevere.

Agata e Romeo

One of the very top restaurants in Rome with an excellent reputation that has spread well beyond Rome limes. Romeo handles the tables and the wine cellar while Agata runs the kitchen with her talent to reinvent Roman traditional dishes. The atmosphere is welcoming, the tables are set beautifully and the dining room is especially elegant. Don’t miss the millefeullie dessert and take advantage of the superb and well presented wine list, one of the best wine cellars in Rome.

Antico Arco

Antico Arco is a very popular and romantic restaurant located on top of the Janiculum Hill just a short walk from the amazing terrace overlooking Rome. The food quality has been consistent over the years and guests shouldn’t miss the so good Risotto al Castelmagno cheese, the Antico Arco signature dish. Foodies will love the wide cheese selection as well as the extensive wine list with a lot of French labels.

L’Arcangelo | 59 Via G.G. Belli | Prati

Located in the snobbish Prati quarter L’Arcangelo offers very good food at very reasonable price. Ingredients are top quality and are the base for a menu that will please almost everyone ranging from traditional roman fares to seafood via creative dishes and daily specials. Here you can taste one of the best Pasta alla Amatriciana in Rome or the traditional offal. Wine selection is expanding fast and the service is attentive but relaxed. The design of the restaurant is quite simple and reminds of a Trattoria from the 1950′s.

La Rosetta

Since 1966 La Rosetta is arguably the best seafood restaurant in Rome located in a narrow cobblestoned alley just off the Pantheon. A dinner at La Rosetta with all the trimmings can cost you €200 or more per person so why not taking advantage of the delicious lunch set menu to taste the best raw fish Rome has to offer in a very romantic Rome back alley. Il Convivio Troiani

After a dinner at Il Convivio you’ll realize the difference between a good place and a great restaurant. Il Convivio is one of the top restaurants in Rome where to enjoy an unforgettable Italian meal just off the Navona Square. There so much to tell about this restaurant like the home-made bread and breadsticks, the coffee list, the mineral water list, the wine list of course, the exceptional service, and that’s without mentioning the food. A good way to taste the many signature dishes is to order the set menu at €98 or if you want to go local order the Amatriciana and the roast suckling pig.

In 2009 Il Convivio Troiani received the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for its outstanding wine list considered one of the best in the world!

Open Colonna

Antonello Colonna used to run one of the best restaurants in the roman countryside town of Labico then in 2007 he decided to move on and conquer foodies in Rome. In just one year he succeeded in his venture of bringing the best Roman traditional food and ingredients back to Rome! Chef Colonna’s creations are never dull and he manages to combine Lazio best products to deliver outstanding Roman dishes with a creative twist. A meal here is an experience to reccomended. Open Colonna Restaurant is located on the top floor of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni museum on Via Nazionale and opens from 11 AM offering tasty lunch set menus at €15, pre-dinner aperitifs at €10, and an excellent brunch on weekend at €28.

Il Pagliaccio

In just five years il Pagliaccio has made a name for itself as one of Rome’s top restaurants and credit must go to Anthony Genovese’ s cooking skills and creative dishes. The restaurant is very pleasant just a short walk from Campo dè Fiori and the service spotless. Very hard to point out a particular dish as menus change frequently however seafood is really tasty, try the lobster salad, as well as the sweets like the chocolate on rhubarb sauce. If you plan to have dinner at Il Pagliaccio make sure you book a table well in advance and allow at least 3 hours for your meal.

La Pergola

La Pergola is described as the best hotel restaurant in Italy but in my humble opinion is close to be the best restaurant in Italy thanks to Chef Heinz Beck. Location is breathtaking, service is outstanding, wine list is made of two tick books, and the food is just from another world. La Pergola is the epitome of fine dining and the perfect place for your splurge honeymoon meal in Rome or for any other special event in Rome where money is not an issue. Book well in advance, wear your smart jacket or evening gowns, take the lift to the top floor of the Rome Cavalieri and be prepared for a memorable Rome dining experience!

The Rome historic Jewish Quarter houses one of the oldest Jewish communities in Europe and the longest, uninterrupted, existing Jewish community in the world.

The Jewish Ghetto in Rome is located in the rione Sant’Angelo, in the area surrounded by today’s Via del Portico d’ Ottavia, an ancient Rome structure built by emperor Augustus in the name of his sister Octavia and close to the enchanting Tiber island and the ancient Theater of Marcellus. Since the medieval era the Porticus was used as a fish market which lasted up to the end of 19th century and this role is remembered by the name of the 8th century annexed church: Sant’Angelo in Pescheria or St. Angelus in the Fish Market. Rome’s Jewish Ghetto was the last remaining ghetto in Western Europe and it is now one of the most charming and eclectic neighborhoods in Rome with typical restaurants serving up some of the best traditional Roman cuisine in Rome. During your Jewish Ghetto walk visit the Great Synagogue and Jewish Museums of Rome overlooking the Ghetto, built in a very eclectic style between 1901 and 1904. The dome of the Synagogue is the only squared dome in the Eternal City of Rome and makes the building easily identifiable even from a distance. When in Rome if you wish to visit the Great Synagogue and the Jewish Museum avoid Saturdays when both are closed.

Tucked behind the ancient Portico d’Ottavia, here you’ll feel like if you were eating in ancient Rome with the Teatro di Marcello in sight. Giggetto serves good Roman and Jewish cooking in a friendly setting. Best bets are Jewish-style artichokes, fried cod filets, chicory shoots with anchovy sauce (puntarelle) and stuffed zucchini flowers. Book in advance if you want a table just off the ancient Porticus of Ottavia.

Taverna del Ghetto Kosher | Euro 40 |

This restaurant located in the heart of the Jewish ghetto serves Kosher only genuine Jewish Roman dishes, under the supervision of the Rabbinical Office of Rome. Best bets are Jewish-style artichokes, homemade pasta, anchovies with endive and lamb.

Yotvata | Euro 30 |

This very nice and elegant restaurant facing the the 16th century Palazzo Cenci, built on the remains of a medieval castle that rose from the ruins of a Roman circus, serves excellent kosher Roman Jewish dishes like spaghetti with bottarga (salted roe), blue fish with endive and focaccia with zucchini marinade. The cuisine based on organic products is prepared under the supervision of the Rabbinical Office of Rome.

Piperno | Euro 55 |

This restaurant was established in 1860 and it is probably one of the best and most elegant jewish restaurants around the Rome’s Ghetto. Beside traditional jewish dishes here you’ll find also authentic roman dishes like tripe, tail and pajama together with a first class wine list. During summer time reserve a table in the lovely outdoor garden.

Sora Margherita | Euro 20 No Credit Card | Piazza delle Cinque Scole 30 |

No signs but you’ll probably find this small and unpretentious restaurant because of the waiting lines of people outside the restaurant waiting to taste amazing homemade pasta and traditional roman jewish dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients and what is available from the nearby Campo dè Fiori market.

Ba” Ghetto | Euro 35 |

This elegant Kosher restaurant located in the heart of the Jewish quarter serves not only traditional Roman Jewish dishes but also middle east delicacies like cous cous, falafel and hummus. Very good wine list and friendly service. A cheaper alternative to the Ba” Ghetto could be found at its sister restaurant the Oriental Food Kosher located near Piazza Bologna, a sort of Kosher fast food offering a very wide selection of Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern and Israeli dishes.

Walking Rome Tour | Enjoy the Baroque Trevi Fountain

The Colosseum is the most visited attraction in Rome after St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, but according to the feedbacks we collected from our guests Trevi Fountain is perhaps the most loved landmark in Rome and due to its enduring appeal this baroque fountain is probably the most photographed monument in Rome.

Designed by Nicola Salvini in 1732, the Trevi Fountain is one of the last Roman baroque treasures built in Rome. This is the place where Fellini directed Anita Ekberg in La Dolce Vita movie as she frolicked in the water inviting Marcello Mastroianni “Marcello, come here”.

And the Fontana di Trevi still casts its spell on visitors today, not least because of the legend that says that by turning your back on the baroque monument and throwing a coin over your shoulder you are sure to return to Rome one day. Thanks to this legend Rome’s Major cashes Euro 600,000 every year, and the money is used to support needy projects around Rome.

The Trevi Fountain is right in the heart of the Eternal City of Rome and the area is packed with quintessentially Roman sights. Wander around the area and you’ll see that there is at least a church in every square making a religious theme tour an interesting prospect.

Being such a popular spot with an endless stream of tourists and visitors it is very common in the Trevi Fountain area to end up paying an exorbitant price for drinks and frozen food presented as it was fresh. So should visitors avoid this area? Il Chianti is a very nice wine bar, restaurant and pizzeria just off Trevi Square. Owned by the same company running Le Tamerici, Il Chianti is a modern version of the traditional trattoria, service is courteous and the bill is fair. Nice outdoor tables.

This tiny, charming trattoria only a few blocks from the Trevi Fountain in an almost hidden alleyway offers authentic Italian food at very reasonable prices. Plenty of regulars come here for the excellent fritters, the farfalle and fusilli pasta dishes and delicious dessert like the lemon mousse. Few outdoor tables available.

Ristorante Al Presidente

Once a rustic trattoria Al Presidente is today a stylish restaurant serving well prepared roman traditional food and excellent seafood. Dinner here would cost around Euro 60 but you can take advantage of the excellent value for money lunch, every day except for Sundays, with a choice of a self service buffet plus two dishes and a pasta from the kitchen.

Galleria Alberto Sordi

Just a short walk from the Fontana di Trevi you’ll find this historical Art-Deco’ gem recently fully renovated, that offers everything from design shops to bar via a bookstore and a very nice restaurant. Espresso here is very good.

Join the locals in this roman-style mall open from 11 AM to 11 PM.

Il Palazzetto

Il Palazzetto wine bar and restaurant offer an incredible location in the heart of Rome with its terrace overlooking the Spanish Steps. Dinner could easily top E100 per person but at lunch, although not cheap, you’re unlikely to regret a single penny of your bill. Very tasty salads, sandwiches pasta and pastries are served on the terrific terrace!

Italy is a paradise for wine and food lovers and visiting Rome means eating pizza! When in Rome don’t miss the opportunity to sample the classic, wafer-thin, crispy Roman pizza in one the countless pizzerias scattered around the Eternal City. Eating pizza in Rome is not expensive, is tasty and it’s fun! Don’t forget that most pizzeria are only open for dinner and usually do not accept credit cards. So where’s the best pizza restaurant in Rome? This is ItalyTravelista’s list for pizza lovers in Rome.

IL BUCHETTO

Located close to Piazza del Popolo Il buchetto is a very small, always crowded pizzeria where you can enjoy a crispy, low-crust real Roman pizza. The menu offer more than 20 toppings in regular or giant sizes. Suggest to try the ciriola bun bruschetta.

CESARE

This is an upscale restaurant just off Piazza Cavour serving delicious seafood and excellent chianina beef but Cesare serves also oversized roman style tasty pizza cooked in the traditional wood fire oven. Just last week I had a huge bruschetta with porcini mushrooms that was pure heaven!

PRATOLINA

In the Prati neighborhood, La Pratolina is one of the best pizzeria, keeping everybody well fed and happy. Here the Pizza, called Pinsa and a bit ticker than the original Roman pizza, is cooked to perfection with generous toppings. The list of sweets is endless and the caramel mousse is an excellent way to finish your meal. The downside is reservation is mandatory!

PANATTONI or I MARMI or OBITORIO | Viale Trastevere 53/59

Panattoni or I Marmi or l’Obitorio (known by Romans as The Morgue because of its stoney marble tables) serves one of the best if not the best pizza in Rome, wafer-thin, crispy, deliciously topped, just buonissima! Don’t miss the supplì, probably the best in Rome, and the tasty beans all’uccelletto. Beside being very good l’ Obitorio is one of the best places in Rome for people watching. My favorite pizza here is mozzarella, zucchini flowers and sausage.

GIACOMELLI | Via Faà di Bruno 25

Beside the excellent pizza Giacomelli is located not so far from the Vatican Museums and it’s open for lunch. The thin, crispy Roman pizza is served in three sizes and the pizza are generously topped. Try the classic mushroom and sausage, it’s delicious.

BIR & FUD

Bir & Fud, meaning beer and food, tucked behind Piazza Trilussa in Trastevere is a highly innovative pizzeria offering very good pizza, calzoni and supplì but also creative dishes like fried calamari, mozzarella in carrozza with mortadella, and so on. I’ve been slightly disappointed lately by some of the innovative dishes but still one of best pizza this side of Tiber river.

IVO a TRASTEVERE | Via San Francesco a Ripa 158

One of my favorite pizza restaurants in the Trastevere lively quarter. Service is excellent, there’s a wide range of well prepared dishes to choose from including tasty thin-crust pizza, outstanding crostini & good traditional Roman style pasta . Nice outdoor setting. Credit cards accepted.

MONTECARLO

A magnet for locals and foreigners, this tasty and crowded pizzeria just a short walk from Navona square serves no frills pizza in a very casual atmosphere. Try the tomato bruschetta and the light supplì. Service is quick and friendly.

PALLOTTA | Piazzale di Ponte Milvio 22

Pallotta is located in the area around Ponte Milvio, north of the city centre and has been serving traditional Roman dishes since 1830. This place is always crowded with noisy locals, the food is not exceptional but the pizza is well-made with generous toppings. To finish off the meal in true Roman style, try the regional desserts. A great place to enjoy Rome! Credit cards accepted.

ROMA SPARITA

Roma Sparita means “vanished Rome” and implies that you’ll find here what has disappeared elsewhere in central Rome. Set in Trastevere in the Medieval Piazza Santa Cecilia, this is a lovely place to taste delicious pizza and Roman traditional fares coupled with an outstanding setting.

Enjoy Rome and its outdoor cafes

Caffè espresso is Italy national drink and Romans drink coffee throughout the day, and whenever people meet the first question is always: would you like a “buon caffè”? Rome has dozen outdoor cafes where to enjoy your espresso and watch people go by! Until few years ago espresso was the official “flavor” with decaf and ristretto as only available options but these days it is very common to go to a coffee shop and hear customers shouting: American Coffee, Irish coffee, Mexican coffee, Moroccan coffee with cream and chocolate, cold (freddo), with panna, shaken (shakerato), corretto with grappa or sambuca. Basically coffee variations are up to the customer’s imagination and the skills of the barista (bartender)!

If you travel to Rome and want to sip a delicious cup of caffè espresso (as the Romans called it) with locals, do try the most extravagant variations! Here is ItalyTravelista list of bars and cafès in Rome where to savor your Italian Espresso!

Antico Caffè Greco:

Much has remained unchanged since the Antico Caffè Greco first opened in 1760. Nowadays people come here for a relaxed breakfast or a delicious coffee in a very exclusive environment. Prices are not popular but reflect the Caffè Greco’s prestige and enviable location, only a few steps away from the Spanish Steps.

Caffe’ Ciampini:

Ciampini is located in the charming and peaceful Piazza in Lucina, one of the very few pedestrian area in the centre of Rome where you can relax and enjoy your espresso, or a tasty ice cream.

Caffè Sant’Eustachio:

In my opinion Sant’Eustachio serves the best Rome’s coffee and it’s very popular with locals and visitors alike. Such is its popularity that you have to be prepared to queue. Among the specialties the Grancaffè, a double espresso with cream, the granita coffee ice with whipped cream, and the Irish coffee.

Tazza d’Oro:

At a short walk from the Pantheon Tazza d’Oro is famous for its outstanding granita coffee ice with whipped cream, and the strong-taste espresso.

Sciascia dal 1922 | Via Fabio Massimo, 80a

Not a fashionable coffee shop but a very good coffee indeed. Coffee is imported directly from Africa and South America, then roasted and served on the spot, much to the delight of the many customers who appreciate the Sciascia family’s service and courtesy.

La Bottega del Caffè | Piazza Madonna dei Monti, 5

This bar prepares very good coffee in its enviable position, looking out onto the pretty little square of Madonna dei Monti. You’ll find the service here always courteous.

Bar del Cappuccino

Be prepared to queue because this bar is small and very popular. The coffee is good as well as the cappuccino served in a unique decorated version. Must try the special coffee with milk froth and cocoa powder.

Faggiani | Via G. Ferrari, 23

Faggiani serves one of the best coffee in Rome and the breakfast fare which includes croissant, fried bombe, and cakes is equally good. Prices here are slightly above average but after all, this is the snobbish Prati district.

Caffè Spinelli | Piazza del Viminale, 18

This welcoming little bar is located in Piazza del Viminale just opposite the Italian Ministry of Interior, and is a regular meeting place for businessmen and politicians. Coffee is excellent and the smiling service deserves a mention.

Linari | Via N.Zabaglia, 9

This lively bar, located in the popular Testaccio neighborhood, is always busy with locals sipping coffee and enjoying the delicious croissant and chocolate filled pastries

A couple of tips: pay for your coffee at the till and then take your receipt to the counter to be served and remember that Italians don’ t drink cappuccino after meals, as milk would slow your digestion.

Beginning in the 17th century for many of those on the Grand Tour Rome was to prove the highlight of their journey. It became fashionable for young aristocrats to visit Paris, Venice, Florence, and above all Rome, as the culmination of their classical education. Italy was the primary destination for the Grand Tourist who was attracted to its cultural treasures, fascinating landscapes and historical cities. Thus was born the idea of the Grand Tour, a practice which introduced Englishmen, Germans, and later wealthy Americans to the art and culture of Italy continuing to this day as popular reference for travelers.

Start your walking Grand Tour of Rome from the outstanding Trevi Fountain, a famous gathering spot and an excellent place to enjoy a nice italian gelato. The Fontana di Trevi or Trevi Fountain is the most famous and arguably the most beautiful fountain in Rome, although I personally really like the beautifully restored Bernini’s 4 rivers fountain located in the Navona Square. The Trevi fountain, built by architect Salvi in 1735, is not only celebrated for its excellent water but also for the legend that visitors throwing a coin in the Trevi fountain are ensured a return to the city of Rome.

The outstanding dome Pantheon is a very easy 15 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain and offers another glimpse of the splendor of Rome. Originally built as a temple to all of the Roman gods, the Pantheon was rebuilt by emperor Hadrian around 120 AD. That structure is the same as the one you see today making the Pantheon the oldest intact structure still standing from the ancient Roman world. Since the 7th century the Pantheon has been used as a Christian church. Don’t miss the nearby Caffè Tazza d’Oro, Rome’s favorite place for its granita di caffè con panna (Coffee Granita with Whipped Cream).

A short walk from the Panteon and at the foot of the Capitoline Hill opens up Piazza Venezia which is the perfect spot to see how Rome over the centuries blended together Modern and Renaissance buildings with Ancient Rome relics and ruins. Another short walk where you will come across the amazing Area Sacra di Largo Argentina and you”ll reach the famous Piazza Venezia.

Piazza Venezia takes its name from the first great Renaissance palace of Rome commissioned in 1455 by the Venetian Pope Paul II. One side of the square is dominated by the neoclassical Vittoriano Monument devoted to the first king of Italy Victor Emmanuel II. Completed in 1935, it’s known to Romans as the ’typewriter’ or the ’wedding cake’ for its ostentatious design. Do not miss the small and beautiful but often neglected San Marco Basilica, dedicated to St Mark the Evangelist, patron saint of the Venetian republic, San Marco is one of Rome’s oldest churches.

The Capitoline Hill, the highest of the Seven Hills of Rome, was the religious centre of ancient Rome. The Cordonata is Michelangelo’s monumental stairway connecting the low-lying Campus Martius to the Capitoline Hill and the Piazza Campidoglio. In 1536 Michelangelo was commissioned to design the beautiful piazza on the hill overlooking the ancient Roman Forum and placed the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius on a new pedestal. The statue was removed in 1981 for restoration and it is now located in a newly-designed exhibition hall in the Palazzo dei Conservatori of the Capitoline Museums. A replica currently stands in the Capitoline Piazza. Michelangelo designed new facades for the two already existing buildings, the Palazzo Senatorio and the Palazzo dei Conservatori, and created a new building known as Palazzo Nuovo, to mirror the Palazzo dei Conservatori on the other side of the Campidoglio square. These three beautiful renaissance palaces are now home to the extraordinary Capitoline Museums, the most ancient publicly owned museum in the world dating back to 1471.

From the Vittoriano walk along Via dei Fori Imperiali and feel at the heart of the ancient Roman Empire! Walk and admire the Roman Forum and the the ruins of ancient Rome’s Trajan Market until you reach the world renowned Coliseum, the most famous monument and iconic symbol of the city of Rome.

The Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, the ‘original Beverly Hills’ of ancient Rome, are now on a combo ticket for Euro 12.00. You get 2 days to see all three sites. Ignore the gladiators, who charge Euro 5.00 for the joy of taking their picture (with your camera). As for the vending trucks, they are overpriced. They will sell you a small bottle of water for Euro 3.00. Last are the souvenir carts, one by the entrance, and one by the exit. These souvenirs are much overpriced, but you can bargain with them or just avoid them altogether.

Walking Rome is easily manageable with comfy walking shoes and the desire to explore what the Eternal City has to offer, even if only have a day to spend in Rome!
